I have had a series of “bad” issues in my life that have regrettably led me into a situation of having a very poor credit rating. I now have a great job and have gotten rid of the habits and actions that led me into this situation. Where can I find a company that will lend to a person with VERY poor credit?

I have been paying the same amount in rent as I would pay for a mortgage and I would really like to own a home. I know there are loans for poor credit but I am afraid that I will pick the wrong one. I realize with poor credit I shouldnt be looking into this but I am now better capable of handling my finances and have a steady income. I know which home I would purchase, just need to find a good mortgage. I dont want to jeopardize my family and end up with the wrong loan.
I have about 25,000 in savings for a downpayment which I realize I still need more……to avoid pmi . I plan to stay in the house for a long time.

My fiance and I are looking at buying our first home. I made mistakes when i was younger with my credit and now have bad credit. I have worked out payment plans with my credit card companies and am working to repair my credit; however my fiance and I want to buy a house. He has excellent credit. What is the best way to go about this. We both are newly out of graduate school and have recently started jobs with modest incomes, but I make a little more than he does. Would it be better for us to apply for a home loan together or for him to apply without me so that my credit is not factored in? Thanks.

I have no bankruptcy. Most of my bad credit is old, and totals about 25000. Married, household income about 50,000. I’ve heard that there are places where I can still get a home loan or a land loan, but I don’t know how to go about it or who to contact. Is there a place where I can find private owners that might do a C4D on undeveloped land?

It seems that no matter how much money you make if you have bad credit you may end up on the street. Is there any way to get around this? Assume there’s no co-signer. Are there any places in the ‘408′ someone knows about where they look at references instead? Thanks to anyone who can help.

A lot of people with poor credit usually have less money, so why do we get the higher interest rates?

I received a share certificate when my employment ended with Aviva. I called my bank Halifax to sell it and posted off the certificate as requested. I was expecting to receive £750.
However they have sent me a letter today stating that due to my poor credit rating i am unable to open an account with them and the share certificate will be returned.
I appreciate that my credit rating is poor but I dont understand why this effects selling the shares on my certificare for a relatively low amount and it is also a one off. I wont be wanting to buy or sell shares in the future.
I am worried now that my certificate is worthless. I have looked on line for sites that can help but cant find anything.
Please does anyone have any advice on how i can release the cash from this share certificate? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.
