Will I get financed for a vehicle with bad credit?

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

I have bad credit and I have recently tried to get an auto loan. I tried to get preapproved first but most sites just sent my application to a dealership. I talked to a few dealers over the phone and they ran my credit. I checked my credit report because I get an update of those inquires and there are like 10 inquries over the past week. I have not heard anything from any of the dealers about if I was approved so im assuming that I cant get a car loan. Is there a situation where you will absolutely not be able to get financed? My score is in the lower 500s, I make over 4k pre-taxes per month, and all of my bad credit is either 5-7years old, mostly student loans/hospital bills. My student loans have been caught up and been paid on time but the current company hasnt added anything to my credit report. I took out a low risk credit card and im paying that on time as well. Should I just give up on the car loan for now? I plan to refinance 12-24 mo of timely payments.

I was watching tv one night and saw a comercial for some sort of program that would help you do just that. Or is this just a pipe dream? The tv ad also said that people with poor credit would be able to get rid of their other debt. Please help if you can.

How do you get a GOOD job if you have a poor credit history? Which companies should I apply to?

I got married a 4 years ago to a man who makes extremely poor financial decisions, and since then my credit score has plummeted. I was unable to work 3 of those years due to extenuating circumstances. My situation has recently changed, and I need to seek full time employment immediately. I’m terrified of having my credit checked by an employer. I’m highly educated, and have a great work ethic, but I’m concerned that my time off from work combined with a poor credit score will negate my skills and ability in the eyes of an employer. Are there any companies out there that I should apply to that don’t do a credit check? I can’t afford to work for less than $60K a year because I have 2 young children.

How will my bad credit change my fiances?

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Recently my boyfriend and i decided to get married. We had already been working on his credit because it was way cheaper to fix his than it was to fix mine. Now that his is in good standing, if mine is not fixed before we get married does that mean that we both will have bad credit again? Just wanted to know how much of an impact on his credit, mine will g=have. We live in Nevada, if that makes any difference. Thank you.

How do we rent on poor credit?

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

We are currently renting in Illinois & we are planning to relocate to another state. We currently are renting and have rented the past 3 years. We always pay our rent on-time. We have poor credit & my husband was just recently fired from his job. If we choose to re-locate (assuming my husband gets another job), how can we get back on our feet? Will we be able to rent from someone in Wisconsin and still get a decent place to live in a decent neighborhood? (either renting or buying a house/condo?) We have dependents.

which would be better an outside lender or my credit union to purchase a home. both pre-qualified me?

my loan is high risk due to my past credit. bank giving 80/20 (8.75%,10%). credit union one loan at 9.5%. 100% financing, no money down. bank using 40yr term, credit union 30yr term. monthly payments about the same. don’t know if I would have to go through so much with the credit union whom I’ve banked with for several years opposed to the outside lender. does it matter which one i use?
